You are an experienced Software Engineer and/or architect with experience from a variety of systems and applying best practices in that setting. It suits you to work cross functionally both independently and interdependently, with the support of a vast software engineering network.

We are undergoing a major business transformation. The HR part of this transformation is referred to as “People Operations Transformation” (POT). The POT initiative aims to implement a new HR operating model to ensure that we become a world-class employer that provides world-class co-worker experiences.
During the coming years, we will modernize our ways of working and our digital landscape by introducing a new HR core platform.
You will become part of and contribute to build the foundation for our new HR core platform team.
As a person you have a proven ability to develop high quality digital services using and applying good practices. You have a curious nature, and actively acquire new knowledge and skills, using them to champion new methods and processes to improve performance. On the same side you are happy to share your knowledge and help everyone around you to grow as individual engineers and strong engineering teams.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
• Good experience of config management of large platforms
• Experience from release management
• Experience from various engineering practices including design, development, documentation and test automation using industry standard tools
• Understanding of API design. API 1st mindset
• Understanding of event-based architectures
• Experience from various system integration scenarios
• Good experience of working in agile software development teams with an emphasis on self-organization
• We expect you to be tech agnostic. You should feel comfortable working with a variety of technologies


ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
We work in INGKA People Domain where we build, refine and maintain digital products that focus on People data such as employee master data, talent data, payroll, travel etc.
In People Domain teams we will be building new platforms and products providing the APIs, backend and frontend to support and improve the co-worker journey within Ingka.
Our products will be integrated within a lot of different areas in IKEA, therefore it is important that we do this right from the beginning and that we build a platform with a good technical foundation and architecture.
We set the digital agenda to make sure IKEA is leading. We drive the development, provisioning and operation of our digital products and services using both new and existing technology using agile delivery methods.
We actively encourage you to learn and stay up to date by providing access to a wealth of training resources as well as time.
The role is based in Helsingborg, Sweden.
