Responsibilities
Application Platform Services is a small team of subject matter experts with deep knowledge about application platform services and areas as Databases, Windows platforms, BI/analytics, Application Delivery Controller/Load balancing, Certificates and Monitoring.
The team provide expertise and technical guidance to application owners and developers how to configure and operate the applications in the best way.

Job purpose:
The purpose of the position is to provide SQL knowledge and services that make hardware and software work seamlessly together and to provide services for applications operations, in a wide range of smaller applications to complex systems such as SMTs financial consolidation application, platform operations, SQL/Applications hotel, windows platform monitoring, reporting and dashboards (Power Bi and Qlikview).   

What you will do:
Perform database management duties including problem resolution, performance tuning, backups, recoveries, disaster contingency testing, database product installation and patching, database configuration and product life cycle management
Support applications owner and developer with database availability and performance continuity assessments. 
Assist in change management and problem management.
Create automated operating procedures with monitoring and alerts.
Troubleshooting and administration of applications and infrastructure in close cooperation with server and windows engineers.


Qualifications
You are expected to hold a university degree in IT and have a deep knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server with experience in:
SQL Server Analysis Services and OLAP
 SQL Query language
SQL Server Integration Services and other ETL tools
ITIL Foundation
SQL clusters and Always On SQL clusters

You are strong in problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to details. You are self-organized, structured, have good communication and social skills. Have good Swedish and English skills, verbal and written. Some travel and willingness to adjust working hours is needed.
