Leading direct response company seeks PHP / MySQL Web Developer, with at least three years experience in the E-Commerce arena. Experience in PHP, CakePHP, and active usage of classes is mandatory. Good PHP specific testing and debugging skills are also mandatory. The job involves development of the e-commerce back-end system. The successful candidate will be a likeable individual who is energetic, assertive, motivated, self-starter with exceptional IT skills. To be considered for the position you must also possess the following: - Superior communication skills - A strong work ethic - A team player Responsibilities: Working with a team of developers the candidate will: - Participate in the design and development of technology solutions. - Code and make modifications to programs (of medium to high complexity) - Under minimal supervision, conduct test verification and document test cases - Complete system and architecture documentation - Conduct performance tuning - Conduct Code walk-throughs - Provide production support including pager and onsite / after hours support Requirements: - Business, Relational and/or Technical Skills - In depth knowledge of CakePHP Framework and Web Based Technologies including XML, SOAP and Webservices. - Browser Technologies: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. - Operating Systems and related skills: Unix and related scripting languages. - Database knowledge : MySQL. - Design and Development Tools: UML, Zend. Source control tools. CVS, SVN. - - Excellent communication/interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of professionals. - Demonstrated professionalism with the drive to own the tasks assigned. - Ability to work independently under tight deadline and pressure with limited supervision. - Ability to multitask effectively and ability and willingness to learn and apply new skills. - Well-developed organization/time management skills and good judgment in order to multi-task.
