The International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR) is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. ISSR runs all three International Baccalaureate’s curricula: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The school’s language of instruction is English for all subjects. The school has been running the Diploma Programme since 1999 and PYP and MYP since 2012. ISSR aspires to provide a high quality, international environment. The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff take part in the wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). In addition to lessons, teachers often meet their students for individual guidance.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
This fall ISSR will need a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher in Swedish as an Additional Language and Swedish B to teach in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The position includes organizing and carrying out dynamic and well-crafted lessons, in PYP, MYP and DP Swedish as an Additional Language and Swedish B. Swedish in the PYP is taught in mixed level groups and differentiation is required. In MYP and DP students are grouped according to levels. Due to the use of the IB curricula there will be an ongoing expectation to collaborate with other teachers in the PYP and MYP to facilitate learning. Working as part of a team is an intrinsic part of this position. The position also includes acting as a mentor to approximately 15 students, participating in the ISSR school community and working actively to build a culture of learning through collaboration.
Responsibilities include:
•Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement according to IB standards.
•Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
•Mentorship for approximately 15 students
•Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
•Planning with colleagues across the school
•Continued professional development




KVALIFIKATIONER
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be:
•A certified teacher (lärarlegitimation)
•International and/ or IB teaching experience
•IB (PYP, MYP, DP) authorized training
•Fluent in English
•Highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard, HTML, and other tools for learning).

Löneform: Månadslön. Månadslön
Monthly salary

Anställningsform: Tillsvidareanställning.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. Måndag till fredag
Monday to Friday
