An Advanced Process Team Lead is responsible for research pipeline, scope, and execution of all duties within a given process area. This includes, but is not limited by, the development of new or improved manufacturing processes, generation of process specifications, execution of strategic actions, productivity and quality metrics, product flow through the factory, and safety.
Key responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibility and activities
· Plan and execute the direction and vision of the process area
· Responsible for the professional development of the reporting engineers
· Research and scope novel processes with the target of improving quality or reducing process cost
· Plan, lead and execute research projects
· Meet with suppliers or partners and negotiate strategic development agreements
· Deliver and approve reports which analyse and explain complex theory
· Co-ordinate with cross functional teams including SIOP, industrialisation, electrode engineering, Cell design, blueprint and procurement.
· Generate and approve process and equipment specifications.
· Develop technology to TRL 4&5
· Identify and evaluate process improvement areas.
· Approve document control: SOP (Standard Operating procedures, WI (work Instructions) and all equipment documentation within a given process area.
· Measure and report on process capabilities.
· Manage and lead dedicated equipment project.
Requirements
Education or other qualifications or competences relevant in order to succeed in the job
Qualifications/education/experience
· Fluency in English
· Bachelor or Master degree of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
· Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts, SPC and capability analysis.
· Experience in research and development roles
· Valuable (but not required) if expertise in battery industry.
Specific skills:
· CAD knowledge is a plus.
