Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.

In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What do we offer?
The Production Organization - Casting is now recruiting Team leaders and Operators. You are offered a unique opportunity to be involved and influence the construction of a production organization from scratch. Your accumulated experience, your personal profile and the new technology will be some of our building blocks together with our production system including all its principles.
You are offered to be part of an exciting journey during a construction phase where the emphasis is on the development of your own and your colleague's competence in the business areas. Together with the engineering and maintenance organization, Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and the selected suppliers, we create a new factory together. You will be offered both theoretical and practical training in the areas of activity. Travel in the service occurs from time to time.

What will you perform?
In order for this type of manufacturing process to work, cross-border and prestige less cooperation with participants in both the project and in a future production organization is required. The foundry process is highly automated and consists of three parts, melting, casting and machining. Together with the team, you will ensure that production flows as it should by, for example, monitoring machines and ensuring that finished products meet current quality requirements.
As the production organization during the start-up phase is small, everyone within the organization will need to learn as much as possible in each area of activity. You will therefore be offered a development plan where you broaden your expertise in, among other things, quality, safety, environment, etc. This will be one of the success factors of the organization.

You and your skills
To succeed within the production organization, it is a prerequisite to have a high level of safety thinking and an understanding of the importance of a good safety culture and standardized working methods. We believe that you have a high school education focused on technology in combination with practical experience in production processes. If you have education and/or experience in metallurgy, process engineering or foundry, these are extremely advantageous.
We attach great importance to your personality and are therefore looking for you who are unpretentious. You have a high willingness to cooperate, are service-oriented and has the ability to see the big picture in order to be able to understand and meet the end user's needs. Communicating is easy for you. You can adapt your communication to recipients and express yourself unhindered in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, we see that you are an analytical, enterprising and self-motivated person who finds it easy to see what needs to be done, acts and delivers.
