Job duties

PostNord is the leader of logistics and postal services in the Nordics.

The teams and organization for automation and advanced automation at PostNord is growing, and we have taken on the challenge of unifying and modernizing our capabilities surrounding data. As a part of the IT organization, we support a variety of different PostNord stakeholders in a multitude of areas, such as e.g. HR and logistics, using a tech stack covering traditional data warehousing in a modern setting. We are already delivering business critical analytics and automation that is an important piece of the puzzle of optimizing our operations, and coming in now, you will be able to set your mark on the way we take our capabilities in the area to the next level. 

As the Data Domain Lead, you will apply product thinking and domain driven design to lead the effort to bring about a step-change in how we develop and run data solutions. Your team will be accountable for harvesting, storing, quality checking, transforming, and visualizing operations data, to enable self-service for analytics and ML workflows. The tech lead will be seen as accountable for the efficient, secure and compliant implementation and running of data solutions and together with the solution architect own the technical roadmap.  

You will need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful. We prefer to use Agile, and our unit applies a pragmatic approach to SAFe to resolve dependencies and set the pace for development, but we choose the appropriate approach for the product and team. As a tech lead, you will not only write code but also collaborate with solution and enterprise architects, scrum manager and product owner, and line managers to design and define the competencies, processes and technology needed to meet business requirements and architectural strategy. 

Our technology is focused on the Azure stack, and examples of some of the existing technical components includes Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Power BI etc.


 

We are looking for you who have

To fit in this position you have worked as a tech lead before, or you are a senior developer interested in taking the next step. Important that you like to remain hands on, able to take a lead role and enjoy working on complex and challenging solutions. As a person you are curious to learn and evolve your skill set in accordance with the state of the art pace in the domain that you work in. You have realized that modern software production resembles industrial production in the sense that it requires a scalable approach to QA and deployment, and you are also humble for the fact that creating and maintaining great solutions at scale is a team effort and not an initiative of a few superheroes.

Proven experience within successfully managing and delivering complex data solutions for enterprise level businesses will be highly meriting.

We accept applications from all of the EU but would require a remote colleague to be willing to be present on site on a regular basis.

Requirement:We expect you to have 3+ years of experience as a developer, with experience from relevant technology and process areas as listed:

- Cloud
- CI/CD/devops
- Business intelligence and/or data warehousing
- Data engineering
- Experience of SCRUM /agile methods
