Then this role as a Technical Bid Specialist – Project Development in Technical Sales Management might be the role for you. The NCE Technical Sales Management department is the technical support function unit accountable for the Technical Solutions selected in each project, which links to the NCE Sales Business Unit and our customer needs towards the central Vestas Power Solutions organization, responsible for the global product development and product strategy in Vestas.

Responsibilities
The Technical Bid Specialist – Project Development role is a highly diversified. The main responsibilities are:
Build relationships with key technical team in the different stakeholders' organization as Developers, final Customers, Independent Experts, Financial Technical Advisors or Regulatory Entities, to promote wind energy and Vestas's products.
Support Business Development team on Technical Due Diligence, Risk Assessment and Technical Contract Reviews during project acquisitions and the different Development phases of the projects.
Understanding of the market, customer business cases and Business Development perspective
Actively lead discussions with different permitting authorities, such as the Civil Aviation Authorities, Environmental Offices, local and regional authorities, and others
Proactively lead the technical value engineering and solution optimization in close collaboration with the Business Development Team. Define the best technical solution as well as future product needs in collaboration with key technical functions
Full accountability for the technical solution related to value creation and risks across the value chain
Lead the technical clarification & optimization across all Technical functions (Siting, Electrical & BoP as well as Central Product Strategy) for Development Project Pipeline
Collect market requirements relevant for development projects, track local rules, certification and legislation requirements, participate in working groups to define the right set of technical requirements to be considered by VPS (Vestas Power Solution) when defining the Vestas Product Strategy and Roadmap
Provide data driven input into Product Management in support of new WTG design, future WTG technologies for project specific optimizations for development projects
Support the preparation of internal tenders for subcontracting Technical services
Technical presentations in collaboration with Development to represent Vestas Solutions in events, conferences, or seminars


Qualifications
Engineering background (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace) combined with a Commercial/Business insight
Background in Project Development a plus
3 to 5 years' work experience in technical support role in Wind Industry or Energy sector
Previous experience in directing technical negotiation, Business Development, Product Management, Power Plant environment would be beneficial
Fluent in business English is a must, both spoken and written. An additional Scandinavian language would be a plus


Competencies
Proven and solid technical acumen on Wind Turbines, Power Plants and Renewables Industry is required. Knowledge on storage and Hybrids will be a plus
Experience in working with development, permitting, and interconnection processes
Willingness and drive to learn new technical information and apply that information to Vestas' development business. This is a role that requires technical and commercial acumen and the ability to drive value through the renewable energy development process
Excellent communication skills and prior experience interacting with different internal and external stakeholders required
Previous experience in directing technical negotiation is expected
High degree of assertiveness
Ability to direct and lead a technical team of engineers and specialists
Holistic understanding of the commercial and legal aspects of technical solutions
Ability to think strategically to optimize the projects and company value during different phases of the project development
The ability to be flexible, organized and collaborative with proven experience working in dynamic and intensive environments
The ability to be innovative and creative with a mindset towards the result and a high degree of motivation to satisfy customer needs
Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Additional information
Your primary work location is at our office in Malmo, Sweden, Aarhus, Denmark, or Hamburg, Germany.


You will be expected to travel 25-40% of your working time.
