About the role

In our head office in Stockholm we develop RayStation - the next generation software for treatment planning. Patient modeling is an essential step in treatment planning where detailed models of the patient’s anatomy are created based on 3D imaging. These models are of high importance for the resulting treatment plans as they are used in optimization of plan settings, dose calculation, and evaluation. The patient modeling tools in RayStation make up the everyday toolbox for clinicians and it is important that they are intuitive to use.

In this position, you will have the title “Software Developer” combined with the role “Functionality Owner”. Most of your time and focus will be on the Functionality Owner role. The Functionality Owner role at RaySearch can be described as being a Product Owner for a part of the larger product RayStation. As a Functionality Owner you will lead a cross-functional team that develops patient modeling functionality such as organ segmentation, image registration and geometrical modeling. The team responsibilities cover everything from algorithm development to presentation logic, user interfaces, requirements, risk analysis, testing and documentation.

The work is conducted in close collaboration with other teams, project management, application specialists, our departments for research and machine learning, as well as with leading cancer clinics world-wide.

Your main tasks:

• Plan and prioritize the team’s work
• Convert feature requests into well prepared work items for the team
• Discuss different designs and technical solutions with experts
• inside and outside the team
• Give technical presentations and demos internally and externally
• Software design and implementation (depending on background)

Your profile

You probably work with software product development in medtech or other area where applied mathematics such as image processing, visualization and 3D modeling are essential components. You could be a developer ready for a new challenge or a technically skilled team leader or product owner.

You have excellent teamwork skills and it should be easy for you to contact people to discuss and find solutions to various problems. You have the ability to overview and see the impact of different approaches, while also paying attention to details. You enjoy planning, prioritization, and to make decisions. You are driven by delivering the best solutions to our customers that in the end improves the care for many patients.

Experience & skills:

• • MSc in computer science, engineering physics or equivalent
• • 5+ years experience in product development
• • Leadership skills and interest
• • Excellent English skills

It’s an advantage, but not required, if you also have experience in medical image processing and visualization, programming, and can communicate in Swedish.
