Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. The turnover for 2007 reached SEK 53 billion. The number of employees is app. 16,000. The team is globally responsible for producing Operator's manuals for products within Volvo Construction Equipment such as Articulated Haulers, Wheel Loaders, Excavators etc. We are a global team of illustrators and technical writers and are now looking for a Technical Illustrator in our Operator's Manual team. Majority of the illustration are made for the Parts Catalogue and illustrations included in the Operator's Manuals. Handling CAD and 3D data and transforming them into illustrations is a common way of producing illustrations today. Qualifications: University education with a Bachelor's degree in Informative Illustrations or similar Good communication and cooperation skills Driving and outgoing personality Creative and positive attitude as a team member Process improvement driven Good capability of setting and reaching targets Knowledge in spoken and written Swedish and English. German is a merit Good PC skills. We are working in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash and Microsoft Office applications Experience and knowledge in CAD (PDM-system) is a merit. Handling CAD images and transforming them into illustrations is very common today. Catia, Solid Edge, ISO Draw are some system we working in We are using picture/image databases Technical skills of construction equipment or similar areas are a merit Please include samples from your illustration portfolio that reflects your competence and skills.
