Your role

With us you will get to work with unique products such as submarines and surface vessels. Your work is to write and develop a range of technical documentation (print and digital) related to our platforms in the digitized fore front in XML-based authoring tools. You will apply defense industry best practice and trends in technical writing. Your challenge is to find and make sure you get all relevant and necessary information from systems engineers, designers and project managers in order to create good and valid documents. You will interact and collaborate with many different stakeholders within the company.


Main tasks include:

* Write and edit large complex documents at advanced level
* Produce illustrations at advanced level
* Develop product operation and maintenance manuals as required
* Review and edit documents from technical writer peers and other team members
* Validate documentation against products


You will work from our centrally and coastal office in Malmö. A few business trips might occur. You report to Head of Section ILS, Technical Information Product Engineering.



Your profile

We are looking for you with experience from working with technical writing or within the technical information area. To be successful you need be curious and have a self-drive as well as an excellent ability to collaborate with software and hardware engineers to develop new and updating existing documentation. To enjoy the role, you need to be triggered by problem solving, thorough and good at keeping deadlines.

Required skills:

* Knowledge in XML, and common DTDs and SCHEMAs used for technical documents
* Technical background: MSc, BSc, Technical officer or similar
* Uptime 4 S1000D
* DIS Backbone
* Adobe Creative suite, Indesign , Photoshop , Illustrator , Acrobat Pro and FrameMaker 12/2017/2019
* Creo Illustrate
* Advanced level in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written


Desired skills:

* Work experience in the Swedish defence or defence industry
* Knowledge in Simplified Technical English
* Knowledge in S1000D
