Technical information specialist

Here at Product Development team you will be part of a team of 19 persons working with service and parts information for both Volvo technology and Volvo Group. As Technical Information Specialist, you will have the responsible to plan, write, maintain and develop technical information for current and future technologies. We work in a highly global and project driven environment and you will need to network globally within Volvo Technology engineering community and the different Truck Brand at Volvo Group, this to get and have the knowledge of what is needed out in the field for our end users.


Main activities and responsibilities
Plan & develop our products over time to meet the market needs
Analyze the technical scope in new incoming projects
Plan and estimate costs for production of publications
Responsible for delivering chassis unique technical publications
Securing quality of publications
Coordinate additional resources used for production of publications
Drive and coordinate proofreading
Maintain existing information



Personal profile
 
We are looking for you who like to build networks and work with improvements both on a product and on a personal level.
For success in this position, you have a natural interest to learn and you have good communicating skills.
You enjoy working in a cross-site environment and like to lead and take on new challenges.
You like to explain complex technical matters to others by the means of text and illustration or other media.
You have experience from communicating through text and images.


Qualifications


You have a University degree in engineering or equivalent experience within the technical area and experience from technical communication, preferably in a structured writing (XML) environment.
We see it as an advantage if you have product knowledge heavy and medium duty trucks.
It´s a merit if you have formal education in technical communication, experience from working with CAD data and/or AI and AR.
