Vi ingår också i ett globalt nätverk som bygger mobila multimediatjänster under namnet 3. Next year the portfolio of 3G Devices will increase in both number of devices and in features. We are therefor looking for an expansion of our team which will work as a Technical Product Manager. The Technical Product Manager for 3G Devices works to secure the successful introduction and management of 3G Devices portfolio of 3. The job includes considerable interaction with internal groups in order to support them with technical information about 3's mobiles, including those in development and already on the market. This support includes all types of work such as answering miscellaneous questions, developing and performing presentations and maintaining centrally stored information. The job also includes considerable interaction with other similar groups within 3 companies located in other markets, in particular in the UK and Italy. Availability for travel is therefore a requirement.The third group with which the Technical Product Manager for 3G Devices interacts is the suppliers of mobiles. The job includes acting as a technical point-of-contact towards such suppliers and the main companies are Nokia, LG and business handsets manufacturers such as Blackberry, HTC, Palm. The Technical Product Manager for 3G Devices must be up-to-date with the latest developments in the area of mobile devices, including 3G devices and 2G/2.5G devices. The individual must be familiar with the relevant device technologies such as 3GPP, Java, Symbian and DRM and have an understanding of a 3G network and the mobile's interaction with the network.
