Our Technical Sales Specialist would be accountable for genotyping solutions in human and Agri genomics domain, a growing business where Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a wide range of solutions to best fit customer needs. We are mainly responsible for accelerating the growth in complex sales environment where expertise and specialization are required. Therefore project management skills, strategic thinking, planning and presenting as well as forecasting are key skills required. Within this role you would focus on complex deals, customer segmentation, mapping and leading pan European consortia in genotyping application fields like population studies, PRS projects, GWAS studies for predictive genomics and in the Agri genomics molecular breeding application, such as marker assisted breeding, genomic selection, parentage.
Responsibilities include:
- Territory and project mapping as well as market segmentation
- Implementing, tracking and reporting performances of the sales plan, targets and forecasts.
- Driving the company’s genotyping solutions by working with internal and external stakeholder like marketing and global business units, KOL and consultants
- Partnering with local distributors and sales teams to identify and develop potential leads
Additional responsibilities are:
Creating and presenting weekly and quarterly regional forecasts
Building strategic plan to grow short term and long term plans
Identifying and support new markets
Directing the growth of business by capturing new accounts/business
Identifying and nurturing Key Opinion Leaders
Building relationships with customers to promote penetration, retention and loyalty
Generating, qualifying and closing sales leads
Prioritizing projects and resources
Building strong internal and external networks
Providing market intelligence that influences the strategic plan
Identifying competitor activities and developing tactical activities
Coordinating with Marketing to deliver updates
Participating in process and operation improvement opportunities
Responding to internal and external inquiries
Complying with company quality management systems, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Several years of sales experience preferably within Life Sciences environment, supporting complex deals with public and private sector customers
Fluent in English - written and spoken skills
Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology or a related field strongly preferred, a PhD would be beneficial
Solid background in Genetics preferred
