Technical Service Specialist HVDC Accessories

Do you have a background within engineering, technical service or installation? Have you got experience from the cable, accessories or jointers industry and want to work towards a green transformation and a sustainable future? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.

The role
Working closely with our international customers, we develop, support, manufacture and install efficient and technologically advanced medium and high-voltage cables as well as cable accessories. The focus for this role is to be the Technical Service Specialist within HVDC accessories where you will be providing and lead in technical related questions in the area of commercial and tender projects and support the Project manager in their management and customer meetings. You will also provide support and product knowledge to the Costumer Service, Sales and Quality department, locally and globally.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating bill of materials for incoming orders, organize and support electrical and packaging factory acceptance test with clients, come up with relevant input for engineering and the product adaptions, ensure the use of T-order process and also manage process of adequate documentation.

Main tasks
* Provide and take lead in technical related questions in the area of commercial and tender projects HVDC
* Provide technical support to the “Accessories Sales Support” department, typically product configurations and clarifications.
* Use and develop tools, such as product configurators
* Support with technical information during tender and offer phase.
* Support with technical questionnaires, take the responsibility for complex technical questions not provided in product configurators.
* Support Claim management (in case of failure of product), when needed take direct responsibility for claim and solve with customer in cooperation with Quality department.
* Promote the NKT product portfolio by technical presentations and gain market understanding by attending selected fairs and customers.
* Keep relevant technical product documents available for the Customer Service department.
* Lead electrical and packaging FATs with clients

Personal competence
To be successful in this role you need to be a team player, be solutions-oriented and have a social approach towards colleagues and customers. Your technical and creative capacity is equally important as your planning and collaboration skills. In addition, planning, structure and accuracy is key to organize the work in an efficient way.

Your profile and qualifications 

* A Bachelor or MSC. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
* About 5 years technical experience from engineering, development or technical sales of cable accessories or similar
* Experience from working in teams or projects
* Experience of project management is a merit
* Fluently in English and Swedish is a requirement, knowledge in German or other languages is meritorious
* Experience from MS Office, SAP, PDM and CAD is advantageous


Additional details
A certain amount of travelling is included in this role, approximately about 40 days per year.
