Role Description

BDs technical support team is looking for a Swedish or Danish speaking Technical Support Specialist with experienced in flow cytometry.



Your primary responsibility will be to deliver technical support to by phone and email to customers in the Nordic region and UK. You will conduct real-time diagnosis and troubleshooting and provide the first line of support. If a solution can’t be found, you will route the problem to the field based organization. You will provide the local sales representative, application specialist and field service engineer with detailed information of the customer interaction if required.



As a technical support specialist you will also be responsible for the maintenance of the instruments in our European training center. You develop and maintain the existing troubleshooting database and help desk guidelines, procedures and policies by reviewing all help desk documentation, such as technical service bulletins, and problem resolution flowcharts. Over time there will be opportunities to be involved in technical service improvement projects and to give instrument training courses for customers and BD personal.



You belong to the North-West Europe Technical Support Center and are part of a multicultural team. The technical support team is an integral part of BD:s highly appreciated and valued added service that BD offers to flow cytometry users, which aims to ensure the successful application of BD:s products and systems in their research or clinical workplace. This position can either be located in Belgium or in BDs office in Stockholm with frequent travels to BDs headquarter in Belgium.



Qualifications

We believe the successful candidate holds a degree within Biology or Engineering. You have experience in operation and routine maintenance of equipment in a hospital or laboratory environment. Knowledge in flow cytometry and hands on experience from flow cytometry, cell sorters and associated software is a great advantage. You are fluent, both written and verbal in Swedish and/or Daninsh as well as in English.



As a person you have strong problem solving skills, technical interest and willingness to stay current in your technical knowledge. You are methodical, organized and communicative.
