Are you interested in working with quality. Within CMQ, Current Model Quality, daily work is to understand situation regarding quality of cars in customer use and act on deviations. As Technical Support Engineer you have the role that is answering requests about support from Volvo market representatives about how to help customer that have a problem with the car.
You will work specialized in the powertrain area.
The expertise of a Technical Support Engineer is to, explain for market all types of fault tracing, measurements, attributes for Volvo powertrains.
Main responsibilities
. Located in office in Gothenburg, Sweden, respond incoming requests of support from market representatives.
. Explain attributes in vehicle all model years
. Describe diagnostic tools and measurements possible depending on control system and model year
. Give advice on how to find root cause of deviations
. Give advice how to solve identified deviation in individual cars
Required qualifications
. MSc. in Automotive Engineering
. At least 4 years of experience of Volvo VIDA tool
. At least 4 years of experience from fault tracing in Volvo cars, hands on-, audio- & visual inspection
. At least 3 years experience of powertrain control unit software, practical down load, practical fault tracing, be able to describe build up
. Very good knowledge about how On Board Diagnostics is built up in vehicles
. Very good knowledge about handling of Detected Trouble Codes in vehicle, including what additional data that can be retrieved
. Fluent in Swedish, English and Spanish (written and spoken)
. Other language is an advantage

. Be able to present result to a group of people
