Technical Systems Expert

We are looking for a motivated co-worker with very strong technical capabilities combined with the ability and desire to learn about and work with complex system installations.This is an opportunity for you to work in an international environment with a team of likeminded system experts in a leading edge expanding software company.The global Service Management team consists of 25 service managers, operating from three different locations; Gothenburg, Montreal and Singapore.As a Systems Expert you will: . Become an authority on one or more production system installations . Participate in ongoing installation projects .Provide advanced technical support for our day of operation crew tracking and related products, in relation to the Service Level Agreement(s).. Assist the client with knowledge injections, proactive problem solving and daily management of the production installation..Provide System requirements to the Product Development team . Participate in a 24x7 standby roster (Client calls are very rare) Qualifications and Skills This role requires an individual who is experienced and interested in an array of IT related technical areas.We think the successfull candidate have; .Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.. Good knowledge of Unix and/or Linux . Some programming (Python an advantage) . Version control systems such as CVS or Mercurial .Messaging systems such as MQ .Databases (Oracle) . Familiarity with shell scripting . Working experience in IT related field, minimum four years . Customer relationship experience is advantageous but secondary to technical aptitude .A good command of the English language Personal qualities we appreciate when recruiting for this position are; .
