Volvo Trucks is constantly developing new trucks, components and systems. At Technical Training, we are looking to hire a Technical Training Developer. The ambition at Technical Training is that workshop customers always will be served by competent technicians. What we care most about is customer satisfaction, flexibility and speed to market. We believe in continuous development and using efficient methods, tools and state of the art technology.


What do we do?
Our mission is to develop and deliver easily accessible technical trainings for workshop technicians. We create technical training solutions to make learning easy. We are learning culture ambassadors who provide learning solutions for business growth and sustainable progress. We also have a global network of technical trainers to reach the technicians in a classroom environment – the Train the Trainer concept.
Many of our trainings are applicable for technicians working with both Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks. Therefore, we cooperate closely to our sister organisation at Renault Trucks in Lyon.


Other partners are:
Sales Areas and Volvo Market Companies
The Volvo Trucks Product Management and other head office functions
Group Trucks Technology and Volvo Group University.

We also exchange on experiences with other Truck Divisions and Business Areas within Volvo Group for continuous improvement.


What will you do?
We want you to take an overall responsibility for your development of training material. You are responsible for providing training and training material for our products and technology. You collect and formalise knowledge from GTT and Volvo Trucks Head Quarter, Sales Areas and Markets in the areas decided by the Training Planning Group. It’s also your responsibility to develop it to training material suitable for different channels. Training material is also handed over through Train the Trainer events, webcast, etc. You act as a role model for the trainer network by developing your own training design and training skills. We also would like you to develop your subject matter expertise within your field. You are part of creating a good working environment in the team and with all counter parts. That includes contributing to a good learning environment in all training situations. It’s also essential to have meaningful collaboration with the trainer network.


Qualifications
You have a university degree in relevant field.
You have a genuine interest in, and a good understanding of trucks, truck systems and components and what technicians need to understand about new systems and technology.
It’s beneficial if you are curious and have an interest in communication and knowledge-transfer.
You like gathering, structuring and simplifying technical information from various sources.
You have a clear customer focus and understand the importance of vehicle uptime. This will make it easier for you to identify the essentials in the selected competence development solution.
To transfer technical knowledge, you have a good technical understanding and relevant education or working experience. Workshop experience is a plus.
To explain the technical design and function of truck systems to the market trainers, you will need good English presentation- and Technical English writing skills.
Since we work together in teams, we will appreciate your team player spirit and your positive and solution-oriented attitude.
