Technical Training Manager – Eskilstuna Training Center

Volvo Construction Equipment, Sales Region Europe / International are now looking for a new Technical Trainer based in Eskilstuna, Sweden to primarily coach and support our dealer trainers as well as deliver technical training to dealer service technicians in our region.

The Sales Region Europe/International Competence Development & Delivery team is supporting our dealers with competence development in the areas of Aftersales technical training, Aftersales commercial training, and Sales training. Our team consists of well experienced trainers and is based in the four training centers around the region. Our deliveries take place in our well-equipped training centers and at dealer locations in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania.
Competence development is high on the agenda in Sales Region Europe / International and we have a well-established competence development structure supported by state-of-the-art training material. Our coming big target is to better reach out and support the local trainers at our dealers, where our trainers will have an important role to developing and coaching the dealer trainers. In addition, we are in the transition face to reach as many learners as possible digitalizing our ways and tools of competence delivery.


Role description


You will facilitate technical learning path in your area of expertise according to set training plan. You will have the whole cycle of preparing students prior to training, conducting the trainings both face to face and virtual, and then do the follow up. You will also coach and assist dealer trainer and students in their continuous development paths.
You will be responsible for train-the-trainer process towards dealers and support in training material production. You will be acting as a Key Trainer and secure infrastructure for the trainings as for example the tools, equipment, handouts.


Who are you?


To be successful in the role we think that you are a good communicator and presenter. You have experience and are passionate about coaching and competence development.
Preferably you have a technical background of working maybe as an engineer or technician and are a supporter of digitalization.
You’re fluent in English, and if you are fluent also in Swedish it’s a plus. This role will also include at least one trip per month extensively in our region.
