Technical Writer

Would you enjoy creating flawless manuals?


If so, you could be our new colleague. We are looking for another Technical Writer who enjoys manuals and technical writing as much as we do and who can strengthen our small Manuals team in Vika, Falun.

As a Technical writer, you will create, distribute, and maintain customer manuals and instructions for our products within Train Connection Systems. You will collect information to create texts for our products and create illustrations from a CAD-model. You will work with manuals in English and communicate daily with colleagues in English. Our manuals team includes technical writers in India. A normal day will contain attending project meetings, co-operate with colleagues, gather information, create illustrations and work with the manuals in our XML-system.

The successful candidate will have the following profile

Education & Job experiences:


• University degree within technical writing, information or communication or 1-year technical writer education.
• Preferably 2 years of experience within the area of the responsibility.
• Technical interest and understanding.
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage.

Personal skills:


• Team oriented with good interpersonal skills and good cooperation with customers, colleagues, other departments, and subsidiaries.
• Open attitude with an energy to drive improvements and high motivation for the job.
• Well organised and structured with a good technical understanding.
• Easy to learn new software.
