Test Engineer

SenseAir AB, a world leading company in development and production of NDIR (Non Dispersive Infra-Red) gas sensors, is looking for a qualified test engineer.The company s office is located in Delsbo, central Sweden.SenseAir offers an interesting and stimulating surrounding with steadily growing projects and challenges in an expanding market.The company is quality certified with ISO 9001.Our products Our products are a mixed-signal embedded system based on an 8-bit microcontroller in combination with optical and electronic subsystems. Demands from our customers and the rapid development within this field give a good opportunity for an exciting job for engineers that appreciate research and development, as well as practical problem solving. Work description You will become a part of the Analysis & Test team.We are today eight persons.As test engineer you will have a key role in the development of new and existing test methods.We test the whole product, sub systems or materials, but do not debug the firmware.You will work in our R&D department together with 20 colleagues.Examples of common tasks: -Performing and analysing tests on products, components or material in development.-Troubleshooting during development, verification and production stages.-Building prototypes of new products.-Analysing field returns that our service department forward to us.We work in teams in co-operation with project manager, sales engineer, hardware designer, software designer, mechanical designer, quality assurance responsible, test engineer, production engineer and external consultants.Education / basis -Education in engineering, physics or math or similar.-Fluent in electrical networks, operational amplifiers, etc.-Ability to read and understand electronic schematics, specifically analog electronics and embedded systems.-Understanding difference between noise and interference.-Methods of reducing interference: strong understanding what are GROUND LOOPS, SINGLE-ENDED vs.DIFFERENTIAL CONNECTION, GALVANIC ISOLATION, SHIELDING.-Formulas and graphs in Excel.-Basic LabView skills.-You should be self-motivated in solving tasks.-Communication and documentation in English is required. Merits -Advanced LabView skills.-Analog and digital filters.Signal processing.-Embedded systems: How a C works, knowledge in assembler.-Communication protocols: UART, I2C, MODBUS.-Experience in analog and embedded design.-Experience in optical systems and components.
