Test Engineer (Västerås)

Northvolt is now looking for Test Engineer to be part of our growing team. This is your chance to contribute to the development of the worlds greenest and most sustainable Li-ion battery cell.
With your exhaustive experience in battery testing you will play an integral role in the testing and qualification of our safe, long lasting, high-performance and battery cells. This includes taking the responsibility for project deliveries and report to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also work with a broad perspective from high level prerequisites and concept development in the early phases to the later project phases managing planning, development and delivery.
Key responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct and follow up on project related testing activities
Ensure delivery of the project activities
Perform and develop tests together with the team
Design of new test methods
Analyse and present test results
Support set up of test facilities
Help the team to perform and innovate
Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between customers and Northvolt's internal stakeholders

Education/Experience
MSc or PhD degree within relevant field or comparable work experience
More than 3 years experience from development and testing of secondary batteries, lithium-ion based technologies.
Excellent communication skills as you will be in constant interaction with international customers and team members from both the technical and business development side
Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations
Recognize the risk of cell/battery development and production
Experience with Li-ion Cell Lifetime and Performance testing and/or Safety and Environmental testing
Knowledgeable in test design and setup
Confident in data analysis and presentation

Experience with automotive projects
Basic understanding of Li-ion battery materials, production, characterisation and electrochemical evaluation
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Japanese is highly evaluated and Korean and German a big plus
Ability to work under high pressure with tight deadlines
Strong organization skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously
Experience from start-up environment is a plus
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
