Tester Telecom SW

UCG/ Radio Support is a consulting company specialized in support to the telecom and electronics industry. Mostly in the design/verification and test/industrializing areas. We have an office at Kista in northern Stockholm but are operating all over Sweden. We are looking for an experienced telecom tester for a customer in Stockholm starting in mid September. Tasks_ - To define functional test specifications and specify test cases that cover end-to-end testing of all application functionality for a delivery including functionality of new applications and components. - To define system test specifications and specify cases that cover system requirements on performance, availability, redundancy, etc. - To perform test by using advanced test tools covering call flows, web pages, provisioning, logs, CDRs, external interfaces, time changes, etc. - To perform regression testing of the above for platform upgrade package. - To report test progress and test results and propose correcting actions. - To keep yourself updated on the new test tools and methods that are of value for functional or system testing. As a Tester you will perform functional and/or system tests on parts of a system or the entire system. This can be both on application level as well as on platform level, testing user interfaces, SW interfaces, performance and different features. Experience - you should: - Have good knowledge in both fixed and mobile telecom networks. - Understand value added telecom services in general. - Have good knowledge in Unix and/or Linux. - Have knowledge of using advanced test tools in telecom environment. - Be familiar with certain interfaces and protocols (e.g. SS7, INAP, SIGTRAN, CAP, MAP, SIP, MEGACO, UCP, MM7, Diameter). - Be fluent in spoken and written English. Experience from test of systems in environments with high requirements on availability (e.g. telecom, financial or military systems) is a merit.
