Background: HomeEnter AB has hired a U.K. software firm called Exact Abacus, Ltd. to develop a new computer system to replace their legacy systems and extend their capabilities. The new system is called 3EX.NET and will support businesses processes including procurement, warehouse management, order fulfillment, customer service operations, and much more. 3EX.NET will require frequent and extensive testing, both during the development project and on-going with each new release. Tasks and Responsibilities: A new full time position has been defined for a person to: Review and thoroughly understand all Project ENTER overview and architectural documentation (e.g. ENTER high level systems analysis, statements of work, prior related project requirements documents, etc.) for the purpose of acquiring a broad knowledge and perspective regarding HomeEnter's business and the 3EX.NET system. Review and thoroughly understand all documentation (e.g. business designs, training guides, etc.) and corresponding business processes for each sub-system at the appropriate time within its development lifecycle for the purpose of acquiring a deep and detailed working knowledge sufficient to operate and test the application. Drive all aspects of 3EX.NET acceptance and regression testing (i.e. finding missing or incorrect functionality) and assist with all aspects of change management (i.e. defining corrections for testing failures). Though the tasks and responsibilities above apply mostly to the development project, they will all also apply to each sub-system after implementation as each will require testing for every new release. Objectives: Ensure that all agreed upon 3EX.NET functional requirements, both current and future, are delivered to the satisfaction of all requirement owners. Ensure that all test failures are comprehensively, accurately, and clearly documented to expedite and enhance failure resolution (i.e. bug fix and change management) by the business and development teams. Experience, Skills, and Job Requirements: Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Must have two or more years of professional information technology experience related to application design, development, testing, implementation, and support. Must be familiar with IT application testing methods and terminology including "unit testing", "system testing", "acceptance testing", "regression testing", etc. Experience writing test plans and working with automated testing tools would be extremely beneficial. Must know common application development terms such as "business requirement specification", "process flow diagram", "object-oriented methodology", "relational database", "XML", and "n-tiered client-server architecture" and be familiar with IT enterprise, infrastructure, terminology such as "DBMS", "TCP/IP", "firewall", "mainframe", "Unix", and "Cobol". Must have basic knowledge of common business systems (e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Receivable & Payable, Inventory, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management, Warehouse Management). Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project). Must be able to work at HE's home office in Malmö, Sweden and must also be willing to travel up to 20%. Management Information Systems or similar Information Technology degree required.
