Tømrere/Carpenters to Finnsnes (Northern Norway), June 2021.

We have a customer who needs 10-20 carpenters for a start-up project in Finnsnes. The first 6 men we expect to start as soon as possible and the job is expected to last until approx. September 2021.

At least half of these must be able to communicate in English.

It is expected that production will go non-stop, through the summer holidays 21.

Due to uncertainty with the corona and entry / exit of Norway, up to 48 hours per week, which has been approved by the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority. If the situation should change, and that you want to drive 4 weeks on and 2 weeks at home, the maximum number of hours per. week could be up to 54 hours according to our approval from the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority. By incorporating leisure time and time off at home, Nor Vikar AS will adapt the capacity so that the production capacity is approximately the same.

The jobs preferably consist of interior work with installation of interior walls. The walls shall be fitted with pre-painted wood fiber boards, and the installation of pre-treated wood fiber ceiling boards.

Some of the interior walls must be with 2 layers, where fiberboard is mounted on top of the plasterboard.

Internal partitions will be installed after the bottom liner has been installed by the customer.

It is planned that there will be assigned workstations, to make the job more efficient, with one man per. apartment.

Those who arrive must have previous experience of using air tools that run on an air compressor.

The floors will be finished with floorboards, before the carpenters can start their work.

Nor Vikar is responsible for work clothes, hand tools and screwdrivers for all its employees. The customer has lasers, nails and air tools, compressors, and bench saws.

Nor Vikar has a detached house in Sørreisa, and the customer expects to have a housing rig ready before the last carpenters arrive.

If the situation should indicate that quarantine time will be necessary, the rules today are 10 days quarantine on arrival from abroad to the 1st airport upon arrival in Norway.

The customer pays the deductible on costs with quarantine hotel on first entry.

At the moment, there are closed borders, for anyone who does not have a Norwegian person number and Norwegian residential address.

Nor Vikar keeps a company car for driving between home and workplace.

Nor Vikar has work clothes, hand tools and screwdrivers.

The carpenters are paid NOK. 250.- pr. hour + holiday pay.

The workers pay for the flights themselves, and the deductible at the place of residence is NOK. 3,000.- pr. month.
