HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. The Global Procurement and Logistics organization at HVDC is strengthening its ability to perform professionally and add competitive value services within purchasing and logistics. The global PL organization is responsible for an annual purchase of over 800 MUSD, delivers value and service to Power Grids HVDC’s large infrastructure projects around the world.

Your responsibilities
Work cross-functional to ensure the classification of all exported and imported products/software/technology with respect to national export control and customs lists where applicable. Primary responsibility for execution of product classifications.
Create, implement and maintain written procedures and guidelines for HVDC compliance with export control and sanctions, as well as customs compliance requirements.
Provide Procurement and Logistics Managers with periodic updates regarding significant changes in export control and customs laws/regulations.
Provide trade and customs related training to HVDC.
Ensure effective use of SAP’s Global Trade Services (GTS) compliance and customs modules.
Be a member of the PG Sweden TOM team (Trade Operation Manager).

Your background
Knowledge of export control and customs rules and regulations
Effectively communicate across all levels of the local business
Business mind-set, responsiveness, strong sense of ownership, self-driven, willingness to explore
Team player with good communication skills, capable of communicating in English and local language (of authorities), both verbally and in writing
Helpful, not mandatory: technical knowledge of products, software and applied technologies in the scope of the HVDC
