We are now looking for a Strategic Intern who want's to be part of accelerating our footprint and presence in Africa. At the completion of the internship, if well evaluated has the opportunity to join fully the team.

The Casablanca office is the regional hub for North and West Africa covering 25 dynamic markets however our focus markets are Morocco, Nigeria, Cote d' Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia, Algeria, and Senegal. We also work as one team with our colleagues in Eastern and Southern Africa meaning we work with projects across the whole continent. We focus to grow the advisory part of our business, and to become even more relevant in ecosystems such as transport, energy, ICT, and health to help propel growth of Swedish companies internationally.

Business Sweden has been present in Africa for over two decades and our team offers strategic advice and operational support that help Swedish companies expand and grow their business in the region. Our relevancy to customers depends on our ability to bring market insights and a best-in-class strategic, consultative advisory.

Successful candidate will be trained and mentored by skilled management consultants, participate in company meetings, networking events and professional organizations, and learn about Sweden and the Swedish business communities. This internship is a great opportunity for anyone planning to begin a career in the international arena.

The internship will be minimum for 3 months, starting March or April 2025.

At the completion of the internship, if well evaluated, the intern will have the opportunity to join our dynamic team as well as benefit from having an official recommendation letter that will improve his/her professional profile in addition to the formative months of training and learning spent with the organization.

The Intern will be given a monthly allowance for food and transportation and will be based in our office in Casablanca, which operates a hybrid work mode.



Job Description:

- Support in ongoing consultancy projects
- Assist in preparing information and research materials
- Collect and report market intelligence concerning e.g. white papers and other relevant sectors as prioritized by organisation
- Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information
- Attend meetings with colleagues in the MEA region
- Attend meetings with clients
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records
- Create and maintain reports and PowerPoint presentations
- Attend company functions and networking events
- Support in creating content for LinkedIn and the website
It is furthermore expected that the Strategic Intern will:

- Promote the company at every opportunity, enhancing its profile in the market place
- Work as an effective team member within the company, thereby optimizing communication and eliminating scope for error and misunderstanding.
- Constantly improve own technical knowledge of region and organisation
- Be willing to adopt new ways of working and to pursue learning and development programs upon request.

Formal requirements

- Degree in Business Administration, Management, International Relations, Economics, Political Science or Engineering
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Currently eligible to live and work in Morocco - no addition expatriation process needed before employment
- Written and spoken English and French.
- Any local languages used in the North/ West African region/s are a plus
- A previous internship or work experience in a Management Consulting or Advisory firm is a plus
- A minimum of 3 months internship
