Trademark Administrator - Group Trademarks and Brand Related IP

Trademark Administrator - Group Trademarks and Brand Related IP

Arbetsbeskrivning

At Sandvik, our broad spectrum of designs, trademarks, patents and other intellectual property (IP) rights enables us to continually introduce unique products to the market. Managing IP rights are vital and important elements of our business operations. At Group Trademarks and Brand Related IP – a part of Sandvik Group Legal function – we register, defend and enforce trademarks, domain names and copyright all over the world to create true business value for the organization.

We’re now looking for a Trademark Administrator to join our team in Stockholm – someone with a strong commitment to working with trademarks and who wants to further develop in this area. In return, we offer you a challenging and dynamic role in a global environment, where you contribute in bringing us one step closer to a successful and assured future.

Your mission – coordinating trademark processes and supporting our team
In this position, you’re an important member of our competent and motivated team and involved in all brand related IP matters. You support our legal counsels and the manager with administrative tasks in all areas of our responsibility. This includes coordinating and managing our trademark filings - docketing all information surrounding trademarks and managing deadlines. You also collect evidence of use for different types of enforcement matters and maintenance as well as manage and update our electronic records to ensure that our rights are maintained, and that our records are accurate. Other parts of your job involve handling renewals, managing invoices and powers of attorney. Extensive contacts with foreign counsels and internal stakeholders around the world are included in your daily work, and you also make sure to improve our daily operations and common processes.

Your character - an accurate and meticulous administrator with a passion for teamwork
We’re looking for someone with experience working for an IP law firm or as an IP administrator in an industrial company. You have good knowledge of the trademark process – from name proposal to granted registration. Additionally, you have a background working directly with WIPO, USPTO and EUIPO, as well as good knowledge of opposition proceedings. Basic knowledge of copyright and IP enforcement is also needed, whereas any additional experience working with SAP Frontend and the IP management system Ipendo Platform is advantageous. As we operate in a global environment, this calls for fluency in both written and verbal English.

For this position, we’re open to considering a more junior profile as we offer you the chance to learn and grow in the role, although a basic background and knowledge of IP in general and trademarks in particular is still needed.

Your personal qualities are very important to us. Your structured and analytical mindset is of great value, as both accuracy and the ability to deliver on given deadlines and promises to keep us on the right track. Since the expectations and demands on the team are high, you easily prioritize your work and take ownership of your assigned tasks – even in fast-paced environments. Always striving to be better and more efficient, you contribute by suggesting ways of improving our work. Teamwork is very important to you, and you take an active role in enhancing the team spirit and bringing passion and energy into your job. On top of this, you’re also an excellent communicator and have an exceptional ability to coordinate assignments.
