Job Description


AS ESS (Energy Storage System) Group manager, you will drive and be responsible to ensure the performance of your team from Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management (QDCF-TSR) standpoint.


You will manage a team of Project and Commodity buyers and contribute to the Strategies; manage the sourcing, project and operational activities through cross-functional collaboration.


As part of the E-mobility and Fuel cell Leadership team, you will contribute to our team continuous improvement, and be an active contributor to the department’s success.


As part of the E-mobility ecosystem, you will collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners globally, every day.


Every day you act with a full focus on sustainability, your mission is to contribute fully into Volvo Group ambitions to make our planet a better place.

Required knowledge/experience
Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, challenge and coach working teams
Understands future trends in the battery industry with the ability to grasp new ideas
Strong strategic thinking, judgement and analytical skills
Ability to build long term trusting relationships. Applies outstanding influencing and partnering skills to deliver results through influence and matrixed organizations
Ability to execute in a global, multi-dimensional and multi-cultural organization
Able to manage complex situations with a winner mindset
Confident decision-making ability, informed by business and financial acumen and a deep understanding of technology and business strategies
Ownership mentality
Multicultural, multifunctional experience required
Able to handle ambiguity’s and hold things together during tough times
Take good decisions in line with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind
Courage and integrity
