Transmission Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB Manage the in-depth Network Element technical support for the Microwave, Tellabs ATM and Marconi SDH or related equipment in the Network Operation.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS - Correct Microwave, Tellabs ATM and Marconi SDH equipment faults and performance degradations in the managed network - Responsible to involve the development and implementation of operations and maintenance processes - Responsible for co-operating with the technical support of 3rd party equipment DELIVERABLES/PERFORMANCE MEASURES - Problems solved or escalated to the correct group/team - Microwave, Tellabs ATM and Marconi SDH NE's downtimes decreased - Microwave, Tellabs ATM and Marconi SDH NE quality in the network improved - FLM works quality improvements SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE - Analytical and conceptual thinking - Collaboration skills - Customer service orientation - Integrity and credibility - Planning and organizing skills - Problem solving skills EXPERIENCE - Experience in Microwave, Tellabs ATM and Marconi SDH equipment - Some experience in operating telecommunication networks - Some experience in team building - Some experience in communicating with different groups/teams
