Unit Project Leader – Powertrain Integration

We are looking for a dedicated Unit Project Leader to strengthen our Powertrain Integration team. The position reports to Vice President Powertrain.

Your responsibility will be to drive and align projects on Unit level, cross the complete powertrain area. Your everyday task will consist of leading and aligning the development work of the system areas within CEVT Powertrain Integration. It will also involve leading the project work in fulfilment of cost, timing and performance targets as well as leading and coordinating solutions of cross functional issues. You will run the level project meetings and participate in various vehicle level meetings to ensure progress and provide status reports. Integrating the work of corresponding departments within Volvo Cars when applicable will also be part of the tasks as well as resolving issues on planning of the department andverification that arise. This role will support the System Managers and Module Team Directors with project deliveries and reports.

Responsibilities and tasks

- BSc. or M.Sc. in engineering

- Minimum 10 years’ experience of Automotive engineering

- Experience of project management according to common car industry development systems

- Experience within Powertrain development is required

- Excellent in co-operation, networking, team-working

- You are a skilled user in Microsoft Office

- You have minimum basic knowledge of Teamcenter Engineering

- Driven, problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities

- Fluency in English both written and spoken

- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture

- Ability to travel
