Usability Specialist

UCG/ Radio Support is a consulting company specialized in support to the telecom and electronics industry.Mostly in the design/verification and test/industrializing areas.Through UCG Recruitment we also help customers recruit personnel in the same areas.We have an office at Kista in northern Stockholm but are operating all over Sweden.For our customer we are now looking for a Usability Specialist.Place Helsingborg.The main task for the Usability Specialist will be to support different Communicating and Selling IT projects when it comes to usability issues.Leads and coordinates the usability work, responsible for working towards an easy to use IT solution for the intended users.Analyse the users' needs, tasks and context and communicates this to the IT and Business organisation. The tasks: .Plan and coordinate suitable usability activities from the given requirements and the time scope of a project..Capture the users' and stakeholders' needs by using applicable methods as interviews and observations and also being able to extract important requirements from other investigations made..Design the interaction and dialogue between the user and the solution and document the design. Knowledge and competence on how to use suitable design methods in order to create a prototype or a user interface..Conduct and perform usability tests..Support and market proper and suitable use of design standards, guidelines, best practices and conventions..Team player, positive contribution to the team spirit, proactively complete the tasks assigned to him/her, take ownership for his/hers tasks and sharing relevant knowledge with other project members. Competences, mandatory: .Experience in working with usability tasks within a project or similar..Relevant education within the area of usability such as Interaction Design, Human-Computer-Interaction, Cognitive Science..Good at visualising ideas and concepts in mock-ups or prototypes..Excellent communication skills and fluent in English, both verbally and written.Desirable: .Knowledge of RUP as support of the development process.
