Climate change is the ultimate safety test. Therefore, we at Volvo Cars are committed to going fully electric by 2030 and mastering the batteries is one of the main keys for us to grow.
Volvo Cars is now moving forward, and we are developing a series of new cars with electric propulsion. This development is powered by an in-house designed battery system developed by our great battery team in Gothenburg, do you want to be part in the next step?

We are now working on a new electric platform and several exiting products that all will be powered by Batteries designed and developed in-house.

We are looking for you with project manager experience, but you must also feel that you have ability in technical issues and find creative ways to solve problems.

Your Contribution

You will assist a team of 10 engineers working with order, prepare and evaluate development and verification tests on high-voltage propulsion battery system. The work is done in close collaboration with other teams, product owner, team manager, system architects and test engineers in the test rigs.

You will get the opportunity to work together with our world battery lab as well as using suppliers’ test facilities in Europe and Sweden.

Competence is Important

We see that you have at least a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechatronics, Electrical or similar as well as a couple of years’ experience from development within automotive industry.

You are comfortable in developing people, and you have experience as a project manager
You will also need to have or build knowledge in Li-ion technology or relevant area within electric propulsion development.

 Personality is Key

You share our vision for future technology and can manage complexity in systems. You are a team leader with great communication skills that enable you to collaborate with different teams so that you can make your own decisions and draw groundbreaking conclusions!
