Purpose of the Position: As Purchasing Director you are responsible for overall purchasing performance across the organization. You will be a member of the Management Team and report to the President of Volvo CE AB, Cab Division. The Director is ultimately accountable for Cab Divisions purchasing performance, and is also member of Volvo CE Purchasing and Supply Management Team. The purchasing team consists of about 25 co-workers and has a yearly turnover of 1 billion SEK. Prerequisites: . Degree: - 4 year university degree in Engineering or related field. MBA degree will be a plus. . Skills: - Strong financial/business/strategic analysis skills, combined with technical understanding. - Ability to lead and manage an organization on a global multi site environment. - Excellent team facilitation skills. - Proven negotiating and strategic supplier management skills. - Experienced in working cross functional with R & D and production. - Experienced to operate QDC (quality, deliver, and cost) improvements. - Strong communication skills in English, additional language skills will be a plus. . Experience: - Min. 5 years professional international experience. Supply Chain / Manufacturing / and operations experience is preferred. - Proven ability to work effectively in matrix organization and ability to manage and influence others. - Direct experience in sourcing processes in international operations. - Total cost management.
