Volvo Group Truck Technology are looking for an Android SW Developer within Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the Entertainment Function & Electronics

There is now an opportunity for you to join us in the development of our new products. Volvo Group Trucks Technology has an increased need of skilled engineers within the Entertainment Function & Electronics department located in Gothenburg.

We are looking for new employees with passion to work and develop sustainable transport solutions with pioneering products and services for the transport and infrastructure industries.

Major duties and responsibilities
Participating in designing the architecture of the apps
Developing the apps
Creating automated test cases
Evaluate different technical concepts for apps
Communicating limitations and risks with different stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications
Proven experience in developing Android applications (Java, Android Studio or Eclipse).
Good understanding of best practices and tools used when developing Android applications such as: common design and architectural patterns, build systems (e.g. Gradle, Maven, Jenkins), distributed source control, and automated testing (Unit testing, monkey testing etc.).
Knowledge of communication protocols and APIs(such as HTTP REST) are preferable.
Deep knowledge of the Android systems such as security, memory management, notification management is nice to have.
