Wiring Engineers

Electrical engineering, 26322 Wiring, is now looking for: One Wiring Engineer for our chassis harness. 26322 Wiring is a group within Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 26300. We are responsible for wiring harnesses and power cables inside cab and on the chassis. We work with new development projects as well as enhancements and maintenance of current platform. Our most used CAD tools are Saber and Catia V5. Tasks and Responsibilities Wiring Engineer As an engineer you will be responsible for a specific family of wiring harnesses as a complete unit during the complete life-cycle. Within that family, you - develop the wiring through concept phases up to serial production and maintenance while optimising demands on quality, timing, cost and features - lead wiring designers within your area of responsibility - are responsible of the technical release and documentation as drawings, cad models, installation documentation and product structure - work in close co-operation with suppliers, systems engineering, system- and component owners, purchasing, manufacturing and aftermarket - ensure a smooth information flow inside the group and to external counterparts enabling proactive and constructive co-operation Profile: - You have an open and positive attitude; you are goal oriented, flexible and able to communicate and work on your own initiative - You are an open minded person, respect different points of view and are able to establish effective working relations with people from different backgrounds based on an awareness of his/her, and others' qualifications, cultural preferences and characteristics - You have experience of wiring harness design preferably from automotive industry - You should be able to co-operate with, lead and teach younger engineers in your group, suppliers or resident engineers - The job is dependent of a good network within and outside the company. Therefore your ability to communicate effectively and to work with persons on different levels and in different areas is essential Qualification: - University degree in e.g. electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering or equivalent professional experience - Minimum 2 years experience as an engineer from wiring area within the automotive industry or equivalent. - Knowledge in Saber is an advantage - Experience in Catia V5. Experience of other 3D CAD systems e.g. ProE or Catia V4 is welcome - Interest in and understanding of electrical issues and truck applications - Ability to lead a small team of 3-5 persons - Very good knowledge in written and spoken English is mandatory. Other languages e.g. Swedish is an advantage The position will be located in Göteborg.
