Work Package Coordinator

Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics Engineering is a global product development organisation within Volvo 3P. It is responsible for the development of suspensions, brakes, chassis and power train installation components and systems, supporting Mack Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks with reliable, innovative and customized solutions. Function Objective: To support the Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics department with specification of work packages to suppliers and our internal organisation. The function will be responsible for internal coordination of job assignments in close cooperation with suppliers. The key role is to balance and describe expected deliveries and work out a profitable business solution for the company. Job description: Your job tasks will be based on the input from technical areas, to specify the work package, including the content and deliveries; As a Work Package Coordinator you will support our commercial areas on the contract related to work package. You will also support the technical areas during the pre-study of several projects, in order to develop efficient and effective work packages. As a Work Package Coordinator you will be a key contact and work receiver for the work package assigned and drive work package execution and follow-up. You will also report Work Package process to the technical area project organisation involved. Qualifications and background: You have a bachelor or master degree within the engineering area so you can understand designers' clear and undisclosed needs You have a proven experience in product development for automotive industry, so it is easier for you to start full speed You are experienced on specifying product development work and you like to dig in details, you know how to handle pros and cons for sub contracting, in order to avoid traps You experienced ordering/taking assignments for work packages within engineering office for products development You have good leadership capabilities and you are business focus to steer all actions necessary for the department in your area You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at least, demonstrating also your ability to work in a transversal and global organization You have a high level of autonomy and initiative in your professional assignment At Volvo 3P we are actively working to establish groupings that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality etcetera.
