We are now looking for an Advanced Material Engineer, Environmental Concerned Materials (ECM).

 

 

The Material Engineering Team at Vehicle integration and Testing, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization. We are building up our Material Engineering Team consisting of - material experts of the various materials that are used in our vehicles.

You will be working in an interesting workplace with open minded colleagues and a problem solution oriented atmosphere. There are possibilities to focus on and develop your knowledge in your field of expertise further. You will have strong influence on product design.

In this position, you will cooperate closely with our Design, Purchasing, Aftermarket and Regulatory affairs department and guide internal part Lead Engineers and Design Engineers with your expert knowledge. You will also have external contacts.

 

Work content:

- Follow and analyze trends in this field and define our in-house requirements and necessary work tools
- Prepare material and inform & educate design departments and projects about Environmental Concerned Materials (ECM) requirements world-wide
- Review Material Data Sheets from Suppliers and based on need support Supplier Quality and Design Departments to change parts
- Be responsible for RRR (Reuse, Recycle and Recover) calculation for project. This is part of End of Life Vehicle (ELV) requirement
- Anchor decisions, development and status with the responsible line management

 

 

We are looking for someone who has:

- Relevant experience within Environmental Concerned Materials (ECM) requirements and development expert preferable with background in Automotive Business, minimum 5 years.
- Experience of reviewing Material Data Sheets from Suppliers and working in IMDS system
- Project focus and have excellent communication skills
- University engineering education Chemistry or Material Engineering or equivalent experience
- Driver license B
- Excellent English, both spoken and written.

   

To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:

- High competence about Environmental Concerned Materials
- Customer oriented, orderly and extremely accurate.
- Good skills in MS office especially word and excel.
- Have the ability to plan, prioritize and have the drive for results.
- Be easy to work with for both internal and external "partners", be a team player.
- Enjoy problem solving.
