Application Security Architect

IT Security Administration is a small service organization focusing on proactive security by providing guidance to how we design and deploy new solutions, providing "Best Practice" Security Instructions, giving recommendation on new vulnerabilities and proactively discovering vulnerabilities within our own infrastructure and systems by utilizing penetration tests against our environment.We have 3 areas of focus which are: Project Advice Vulnerability Management Security Instructions By working at the department you will continuously be part of the latest within IT security administration.You will also have access to the best of tools in this area.RESPONSIBILITY The Application Security Architect within IT Security Administration is responsible for define coding instructions that will help Sony Ericsson develop secure applications.This role is also responsible for actively review existing applications, highlight vulnerabilities and recommendations for how they should be improved. COMPETENCIES Demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience of information security, risk, compliance, and privacy.Candidate must be proficient in understanding business requirements and all areas of technology risk, including: information security, business continuity, and operational risk.Knowledge of current security vulnerabilities Knowledge of web-centric services and technologies (XML, SOAP, LAMP, etc.), related security challenges, and industry standards and solutions.Net and/or Java Development background is a must.Net and/or Java Development Security background is a PLUS!Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to ascertain and disseminate information quickly through a variety of channels.Self driven and interested in software development.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS At least 7 to 10 years combined experience in IT application and/or security roles inclusive of a minimum of 5 years experience with a demonstrated aptitude in leading application security initiatives in complex business and technical environments.Experience with security at an enterprise-level - security threat, implementation techniques and solutions, and best practices.Experience with portal and web 2.0 technologies and underlying security concerns/issues, solutions and best practices.Experience with JavaEE enabled multi-tier applications, underlying security methodologies, implementation techniques, industry standards, and best practices.Experience with SOA design concepts and principles, implementation technologies and standards, related security concerns, industry standards and best practices.Network architecture (layers, partitioning such as DMZ), routers, firewalls, load balancers, web servers, application servers, legacy application platforms, etc.Effective knowledge of information security theory and practices.CISSP or equivalent certification a plus.
