Business Analyst - Malmö (hybrid)

Our client in Malmö needs a Technical Business Analyst for an important assignment. The client  is currently transforming its group-wide security monitoring setup and moving away from a centralized, monolithic logging and monitoring architecture. This shift requires a redesign of how logs are collected, routed, processed, and stored for both security and operational purposes.
While security monitoring is being restructured, operational monitoring must remain cost-efficient, scalable, and fit for purpose. To support this, there is a need to define future-state capabilities, technology stack, operating model, and financial framework to enable operational monitoring across a large, global enterprise environment.
The client is therefore seeking a consultant to conduct a structured analysis and provide clear recommendations and decision-support material for the way forward, based on experience from similar large-scale enterprise transformations.
Scope & Responsibilities
1. Current-State Assessment

Map and document existing log sources, data flows, and tooling


Identify requirements for future operational logging (retention, performance, use cases)


Analyze current challenges, redundancies, and inefficiencies (technical and financial)


2. Future-State Analysis & Recommendations

Evaluate target-state options including technology, architecture, operating model, and cost model


Develop structured decision material outlining recommendations, alternatives, risks, benefits, and trade-offs


3. Collaboration & Alignment

Work closely with Operational Monitoring, Security Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and infrastructure/application teams


Lead workshops and interviews to collect input and validate findings


4. Delivery

Deliver structured outputs on time with clear communication and defined checkpoints


Provide final documentation suitable for executive decision-making and future implementation planning


Requirements

Extensive experience as a technical business analyst, solution consultant, or similar role, with the ability to provide informed technical recommendations


Strong background in enterprise logging and monitoring solutions, particularly operational monitoring


Experience with multi-source, multi-destination log architectures


Experience working in large, complex global organizations


Strong ability to structure requirements and assess current-state environments


Fluent in English


Meriting Experience

Evaluation and comparison of modern logging and monitoring platforms


Experience in cost optimization and log lifecycle management


Participation in observability or monitoring transformation initiatives
