With Autonomous Solutions, we have created a globally responsible organisation to handle this fast-moving and dynamic opportunity for all brands in the TRATON group and are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to strengthen the team. 

About the team

We are a new, diverse, and growing team within Autonomous Solutions that is responsible for setting the product strategy for the on-road autonomous product category and developing global commercial relationships together with all brands in the TRATON group. We spend our time understanding the ever-evolving ecosystem of autonomous goods transport and we use that to create new and innovative business strategies. We focus on external perspectives and develop relationships that broaden the horizon of our understanding so that we can bring that knowledge and understanding into the autonomous solution development.

Responsibilities for this role:


• Create and implement the cross-brand business strategy & product roadmap for on-road autonomous solutions.
• Develop partnerships and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers including the initiation of pilot projects.
• Explore new markets and business models for autonomous solutions.
• Bring customer voice into development flow, managing product demands and representing the business needs.
• Create and manage regional sales funnel for autonomous solutions together with account managers from respective TRATON brands.
• Forecast long-term financial performance for the product line.
• Spread understanding of autonomous solutions and the new business models involved internally and externally.

The position is based in Södertälje, Sweden, with access to offices in central Stockholm and a requirement to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

About you

You are strategic and commercially driven with a good understanding of the logistics industry. You are a team player with a commercial background and a good understanding of and interest in technology. An interest in the customer and finding solutions for their challenges is essential.

Preferred qualifications:


• 5+ years’ experience in the commercial vehicle and/or logistics industry.
• 3+ years working in business development, sales, or product management.
• Ability to work in an evolving and dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working in an international environment and in close connection to multiple teams cross-brand.
• Experience from a large commercial vehicle fleet operator is considered beneficial.
• Previous experience working with autonomous solutions is not a requirement but could be considered beneficial.
