Business Improvement Specialist

Business Improvement Specialist

Arbetsbeskrivning

A key success factors for Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is the close collaboration we have with our customers and internal stakeholders in driving improvements in our products and services. Within division Rock Tools and our Product Line Services, this means understanding the needs of our customers’ and Sandvik users and providing them with everything from on-site support to training and a suite of digital solutions. We’re now looking for an analytical, visionary and networking Business Improvement Specialist – someone who wants to help us develop and grow by taking lead in grounded analytics formed from our digital solutions.

We welcome you to a young, engaged and curious team with an exciting agenda and huge impact on our business. We’re equally passionate about our services as our people, and offer you a truly inclusive, innovative and high-tech arena to advance within. Come join us and our world of opportunities!

About the job
You’re responsible for the processes we use when implementing and analyzing data and insights from our digital solutions. An important part of your job is to sustain and improve our work – meaning you design, develop and implement new methods for managing data analytics in our sales areas. You’re the essential link between our developers and the management of our sales area, commercial teams, product teams and R&D in both weekly and monthly meetings. You also closely collaborate with our sales area resources to develop and support them in how to analyze, optimize and outperform in our contracts. This includes ad hoc analytics support, preparing training material and performing training sessions to ensure harmonized ways of working.

You constantly touch base with the business and draw conclusions from a data analytics perspective, and you transform your insights into clear digital feature requests. In this part of the job, we truly value your input and contribution to what requests we should focus on. You also lead and coordinate user acceptance testing of new features and take ownership for some of the projects we need to run within this area. Your role involves many different stakeholders, and you collaborate both internally and externally to share knowledge, drive best practices and help us develop in the digital field.

The position is based at our Rock Tools production site in Sandviken, but to get a glimpse of the world you’ll really be joining – take a look at this YouTube-video about our concept “You’ll never work alone”.

About you
For this job, you need experience from similar positions, with focus on business improvements and analytics connected to digital solutions. You know how to gather data and then use your insights to form plans, and you have preferably been leading smaller transformation or change projects in the digital arena. You combine this with expertise in economic modeling, financial analysis and a good understanding of finance, tax and legal issues. A relevant academic degree within a technical or business-related field is necessary, and you comfortably manage the common applications for our daily operations in Office 365. Knowledge of data analytics software such as Power BI or Tableau is a big plus. As we’re represented worldwide, you have both cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English. Other language skills, for example Swedish, is beneficial.

You’re a structured, analytical and tech savvy doer who adds both innovation and new perspectives into the mix. We need you to use independent judgement in selecting methods and techniques for new digital solutions and this calls for a process-mindset and self-motivation. Other traits that lead you to success are the abilities to multitask, look at things from new perspectives, solve problems on the go and make sense of large amounts of insights. On top of this, you’re a flexible collaborator and you really enjoy interacting with many different stakeholders and always keeping them informed.
