As Manager of Preventative Central Maintenance, you are a key person in ensuring that the media equipment (e.g. compressor and pumping stations, gas plant, steam boilers, pipes, etc.) is reliable and available for production. You have deep knowledge in technical maintenance, ensuring that the equipment meets the legal and environmental requirements. You ensure that the production facilities are operated safely based on this. In this role, you will also be responsible for our site’s third-party inspections, hydraulic resources, pipe-manufacturing resources, and you are the coordinator for some third-party maintenance work.
This position is a part of Central Maintenance and your “office” is all across Avesta Works. In the role, you collaborate with many different people and functions. You report to the head of Central Maintenance.

Main responsibilities
Lead and develop the Central Media/Maintenance Department
Responsibility for the local infrastructure in terms of water, compressed air, gases, etc.
Coordinate and communicative with the external supplier who performs the site's crane maintenance
Head of LPG/ “Gasol” on site
Ensure the staff in the department have the right competence for their task
Ensure that all third-party inspections are carried out and coordinated on-site
Lead and participate in OPEX, CAPEX projects as well as improvement projects


About you
We are looking for someone with good leadership skills, great commitment, a feeling for collaboration. As a person, you like order and can work in a structured way even when there is a lot to do.
Engineering degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or many years of experience in a similar role
Strong leadership skills developed preferably in an industry setting
Previous roles in manufacturing/industry is a merit, as well as a natural interest in technology
You are well-organized, cooperative, and have a high awareness of safety measures
Fluency in Swedish and English (written and verbal)
Driving license B
