Olof AB is looking to hire a management consultant to achieve its short and long-term strategy and business goals. This hire is part of long-term plans between Olof AB and Kontinentalist Pte Ltd in Singapore to expand their business interests in Europe.
The candidate should have a strong passion and belief in the need for representation and data storytelling in the media landscape. The candidate should have management experience while being empathic, consultative, open-minded, and prioritise process over outcome.
The candidate’s core responsibilities are in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the company run smoothly, and both short- and long-term plans are executed. These responsibilities will be to look after three core areas.
Outreach & Partnerships
A core part of company’s and it’s partner’s modus operandi is to collaborate and work with cause-driven organisations and individuals. The candidate will need to:
Work with the company and stakeholders to strategise and plan outreach initiatives, such as events and talks.
Collaborate with various departments in the company to plan and priortise strategic and mission-achieving partnerships for the company.
Represent the company and its partners at key events, such as conferences, workshops, talks, etc.

Financial Planning
The candidate will be responsible for managing budgets and finances, in consultation with the partner company’s founders, as well as their parent group, Potato Productions. These include:
Oversee annual budgets, including making recommendations on costs and expenses, and executing the budget.
Ensuring that operations adhere to budget and priorities.
Source for business and investment opportunities in Scandinavia and Europe relevant to the company and its parent group.

Products & Revenue
The company’s revenue streams include bespoke projects, consultation, workshops, and a content management system. The candidate will need to:
Plan long-term strategies to scale and deliver the company and its stakeholders key offerings, including engaging in research and experimentation, and community development discussions.
Oversee the partnership’s client acquisition strategy and management, including liaising with the company’s and partner’s clients to understand their needs and limitations, keeping an eye on timelines, setting rates and prices.
Collaborate with individuals across various teams to deliver results and items to clients.

Work with the partner’s product development team to plan and execute product strategy and implementation.
What skills and qualities are we looking for?
We’re not looking for someone who can simply execute and carry out the company’s operations. The candidate must have vision and drive to help take the company to greater heights.
Job experience
Our ideal candidate should have the following job experience. They should have:
Worked at least seven to ten years, with at least five or seven years of experience in managing a team or sub-team.
Experience working in a design studio or a digital publication.
Experience working with or in a business function or strategy, preferably in planning revenue streams and overseeing budgets.

Core competencies & values
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills, knowledge, and expertise.
Advanced data visualisation and analysis skills
Experience with data visualisation tools or programmes, such as Flourish, Datawrapper, and Python
Strong editorial knowledge and experience
Strong understanding of business landscape relevant to the industry in Europe and Asia
Strong general knowledge and a pulse on current affairs, with understanding of Europe and Asia’s regional sensibilities, work culture, and business frameworks
Interpersonal and networking skills
Knowledge and understanding of product thinking culture and principles
Ability to speak the language around design and development
The candidate should have a Master of Science degree in a data-related or digital humanities-related field.
