The West Atlantic Group is one of the markets leading providers of dedicated airfreight service to European National Mail Organisations and airfreight capacity to Global Integrators and freight forwarders.
The Group has a well-established geographic network and operate a customised aircraft fleet of 40 aircrafts, which includes the British Aerospace ATP, ATR, Bombardier CRJ 200 PF, Boeing 737-300 / 400/ 800.
West Atlantic was founded in 1962 and its headquartered in office buildings at Malmö Airport, Sweden. Operation are performed all over Europe with a staff around 500 employees. West Atlantic holds two Air Operating Certificates, one in UK and one in Sweden, which together operate over 24,000 flights serving more than 50 destinations. Focus is on safe operations, high reliability, and customer service.


Crew Planner – Malmo Airport

As a crew planner you have a central role in planning pilots in an efficient and economical way.  Are you a structured person, who can handle a role that is hectic at times and are you used to learn new systems? If you are, we can offer you an exciting position in a challenging business. To thrive in this position, you must be able to work independently, possess good social competence and be a team player. As a team player we do not expect you to work only with the people in your own team but also to be willing and able to support other departments when needed.

Your primary tasks:


• Plan pilots in an efficient and economical way as to collective agreements, legislation in respective countries as well as flight time regulations.
• Coordinate planning in cooperation with both our colleagues in the training department as well as the rest of the traffic planning.
• Ongoing adjustments and requests in the planned roster.
• Participate in meetings with Flight Operations and colleagues in the Planning Department.
• In cooperation with Payroll, supply and control monthly duty information.
• Assist in any matters arising within the Flight Operation Department.
• Book tickets, ground transports and handle hotel reservations.

Qualifications:


• Experience with rostering and resource Planning within the Airline business.
• Competent Microsoft Office user.
• Fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language.
• It is an advantage if you have experience with using PDC and/or Amadeus

• Are creative and make your own decisions in a strictly regulated environment

As we are in a very competitive business you must be flexible and prepared for rapid change. Your work will periodically be high paced so it is important you can keep cool even when the tempo increases. Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday.

As you will be working at Malmo Airport you need a driving license and access to a car.

As the workplace is in a security classified area, you must be able to pass a security test including a background check.
