Job Summary
We are looking for a Development Engineer to be part of the Sealing Applications & Modelling team, in Sealing Solutions & Materials Engineering. With this position we would like to strengthen, preferably both our virtual and physical capabilities.
In all work, robust design principles are important corner stones and strongly embedded in our work, and the environment may differ from knowledge-building activities, product developments to troubleshooting. Sustainability is high on our everyday agenda! As a key competence area within Tetra Pak, the responsibility to develop the sealing technologies of the future lies in our hands. We work closely together across several functions and with partners to develop sustainable packaging material, machine components, process settings as well as test methods to screen and verify sealing quality performance. The challenges are many, the pace is high, and we do it together!
The position is temporary for one year, based in Lund and may require some travelling.
What you will do
You will be a vital part of the work of designing, evaluating, and optimizing concepts using virtual and physical tools to predict the sealing quality.
As a part of your workday, you will collaborate with scrum teams and specialists to develop and refine methods and rigs to describe and evaluate the sealing performance as well as to optimize the process, system, product interaction and components to achieve the optimal sealings, protecting what’s good.

We believe you have
A Master of Science degree in Materials, Mechanics or equivalent
At least 5 years of work experience, from development work
Experience from working with different materials, like paperboard and polymer is essential
Knowledge in statistical tools, e.g. Minitab
Knowledge in Abaqus is an advantage
Well acquainted and self-sufficient in physical and virtual testing
A high proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential

You work in an analytical and thorough way and have good presentation skills. You posses’ excellent collaboration and communications skills enjoying individual work as well as contributing to your team’s success. Taking initiatives come naturally to you, as well as proposing new solutions and actions. In addition, you have the interest and ability to handle the big picture in deliverables at the same time as being interested in technical details.
