E/E Engineer ─ High Voltage Battery

We are scaling up! With an additional factory in construction to produce more cars than ever before, we are now looking for new employees to join our pursuit of ultimate (electrical)performance. As an E/E Engineer within high voltage battery, you will play a vital role in the development of our next generation of high voltage li-ion batteries for coming car models.

Your area of responsibility will be focused mainly around the hardware design of the battery in a highly cross-functional working environment. We pride ourselves in delivering state-of-the art innovations that are fully developed in-house and you can expect to work alongside accomplished, world-renowned engineers on perhaps the most exciting automotive programs in existence today.

Main responsibilities:

- Supporting design activities on the electrical architecture of the battery
- Supporting Battery Management System design activities (circuit design)
- Design, test and validate the power distribution units
- Organize and carry out tests to verify functions and requirements

You will report directly to the High Voltage & Battery Design team lead and work at our main production facility in Ängelholm, Sweden.

Skills and requirements

We are looking for someone with drive and fundamental knowledge to break new ground for high voltage battery designs. As a person, you need to be courageous, curious and thrive in an out-of-the box thinking atmosphere. You have several years of hands-on working experience, preferably in a similar environment.

Further skills required:

- In-depth knowledge of the behavior and safety aspects of li-ion batteries as well as high voltage systems
- PCB design experience, preferably on Altium Designer
- Fundamental knowledge of the various functions for li-ion battery packs and BMS as well as experience within BMS hardware implementation
- Design experience on power distribution units, namely; architecture, component sizing and selection as well as testing and validation.

As we operate in an international working environment, fluency in written and spoken English is a must.

It would also be considered meritorious but not required if you have:

- Knowledge on battery state estimation algorithms (SoC, SoH, SoP)
- Hands-on experience with battery testing equipment and troubleshooting various electrical systems
