Join the Electro-mechanical team that is a part of the Engineering department located in Västerås, Sweden. The team consists of more than 20 design engineers with both internal and external competences with a close collaboration with the Indian office. As an electro-mechanical designer, you will have many interfaces to other disciplines inside and outside of the Engineering department, like system design, electrical, control, tendering, civil, service and R&D, but also to customers and local contractors.
Your responsibilities
Go through customer technical specifications and local standards and implement them in the design.
Plan, coordinate and communicate all technical aspects related to mechanics in the project with the client, internal engineering, as well as suppliers of equipment and field operation.
Follow and report time schedule and budget to Project Manager.
Coordinate and prioritize work within the team and flag when resources are needed.
Perform Design reviews internally and with customer.
Perform mechanical calculations and write Technical Reports (structural, magnetic field, lightning etc).
Purchase all the mechanical material in our design scope, such as steel structures, conductors, connectors, and installation material.
Produce drawings for manufacturing of mechanical material, as well as drawings for Civil Design and Installation.

Your background
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical (Power systems) or Mechanical Engineering.
You have experience with 2D and 3D CAD-tools like Solidworks or Revit.
Good knowledge in primary materials such as steel structures, clamps, fittings, insulators, conductors, and installation accessories.
Fluency in English is required, and Swedish will be a plus.
