ACN Inc.ACN Europe, a fully owned subsidiary of ACN Inc., markets telecommunications services to residential customers and small businesses in 15 European countries: the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Ireland, Italy, Finland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Poland and Portugal.ACN's cornerstone product is fixed telephony (local, national and international calling).In addition, ACN markets mobile services in selected markets and will in a short time launch VoIP in several countries.We are now looking for a Finnish translator to support our Marketing department.Summary of Role The translator is responsible for the creative translation and cultural adaptation of the company's printed and online materials, websites and other communications Tasks & Responsibilities *Creative translation of all the company's newly developed materials/communication from English to Finnish *Translation from Finnish into English for internal use as and when required *Revision and maintenance of all existing printed materials, website texts and communications to achieve cultural acceptability while preserving corporate spirit and identity *Have an in-depth knowledge of the company's business, keep track of the changes and proactively introduce revisions to the existing materials *Work closely with the Graphic Design department to create powerful, culturally acceptable, consistent set of sales tools and materials for the company's representatives and customer communication *Acquire extensive knowledge of company's policies and procedures, on the basis of which review promotional materials created by representatives for compliance *Act as a back-up to the Translation Manager in cases of absence, and provide support with additional tasks related to translations as and when required Required Skills/Competencies *You have strong interpersonal and communications skills *You are a team player *You can work independently and to strict deadlines *You are able to adapt and thrive within a multicultural business environment *You are able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously Functional Prerequisites *Finnish as a native language *Minimum 1-2 years of translation experience preferred *Excellent writing skills in Finnish *Fluency in English (written and spoken) *Translation or language degree *Experience with Trados is a plus *Computer skills: Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of Internet technology You will be located in Åmål or Amsterdam
